Bent Rods Cascade Spinners

Bent Rods Salmon and Steelhead Spinners are a very productive lure for catching Salmon and Steelhead throughout their range. These Spinners can be trolled, casted, back trolled, fished on anchor, or fished under a float.

Our lures are tested throughout BC in both fresh and saltwater by BC Fishing guides.
We manufacture our lures in Chilliwack BC, in the heart of Fraser River country, home of huge Salmon and world famous Steelhead.

Bent Rods Salmon and Steelhead spinners are made using Cascade style blades, extra thick wire shafts, and top quality Matzuo sickle hooks. Our Spinner blades are hand polished and custom painted with airbrush, and are designed by our professional fishing guides to be the strongest and best performing blades for Salmon and Steelhead.

Our Spinners come in various sizes and color schemes. Most species of Salmon and Steelhead will take Spinners.  Conditions and species will dictate which color pattern and size to fish.

At Bent Rods we are always experimenting with new designs and ideas, so please keep an eye out for new Spinner designs when ordering.

The Cascade blades we use for our Spinners are fluted- meaning they are not smooth, and this section of blade not only supplies added vibration but is excellent for packing with scented pastes. Experiment with this and you will develop favorite scents for the various species. One hint: Salmon eat fish, Spinners can imitate wounded fish.

Our spinners are also designed with a larger rubber tubing than found on other blades (for holding the hook rigid- very important).  We have found this to be another excellent spot for more scent paste, and allows for our top quality hooks which have larger hook eyes.

Large style Spinners are most commonly used for Chinook /King Salmon, however we catch Coho, Chum, Pink and even the occasional Sockeye on these Spinners.  Steelhead can be very attracted to large style Spinners fished on their own, or under a float.  This is a very popular technique from the 1960’s and 70’s.
