Bent Rods is proud to introduce our line of Trout Jigs!
While float fishing for Steelhead and Salmon with Jigs, we were constantly amazed at the numbers of trout we were catching with our Jigs.  This gave us the idea of creating Jigs specifically for targeting Trout.  Using smaller hooks and smaller offerings we were amazed at the efficiency of the Jigs to catch hard to entice Trout.  By down-sizing our gear and rods we had created a great fishery to fill the days between Steelhead and Salmon runs.  Now we make it a practice to visit some awesome Trout rivers such as the Thompson River, and others like it each summer to spend a day chasing Trout with Jigs, fished under a float. A great part of this fishing is that Trout seldom inhale a Jig, as they can do with bait and flies.  They are most often hooked in the upper lip, due to the Jig traveling with the hook up when being fished.

I have caught many Trout and Char with this technique and have found it an excellent way to teach children and new fishers how to effectively float fish.

We have a small selection of pre made Trout Jigs in our stock, but can make any type of custom order imaginable!  Just call us and give us an idea of what the common food sources are for the Trout you are chasing, and we will custom design Jigs to those specifications- no extra charge!
